Amy Wahlstrom-Hitsman

Speech Language Pathologist
Amy Wahlstrom-Hitsman, MS, CCC-SLP, founder Compass Therapy to focus on supporting clients and their families. She specializes in severe speech disorders, AAC/speech-generating devices, and voice therapy for individuals with Parkinson’s disease. Amy has experience across early intervention, schools, hospitals, and universities, including six years as an instructor and clinical coordinator at the University of Hawaii. Since 2020, she has excelled as a teletherapist, finding new and creative ways to connect with her clients.
As the wife of a retired Air Force member, Amy understand the challenges military families face. This experience has shaped my compassionate and adaptable approach as a speech-language pathologist, helping families overcome obstacles and access the care they need.

Bachelors (BA) in Theater – Indiana University

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, listening to music, and
traveling to explore new places.
